The Analysis About Mental Characters Cultivation Of College Students Based Positive Psychology

The positive mental character of college students is the prerequisite and foundation for the implementation of ideological and political education in colleges,as well as the embodiment and guarantee of its practical activities.Improving positive characters of college students could help to enhance the psychological health,promote the development of core literacy and develop their abilities and qualities in an all-round way.It has gradually become the research topic of the ideological and political education and mental health education professionals in colleges.The concept of focusing on beautiful soul and superiority advocated by Positive Psychology provides a new way of thinking and perspective for the positive changes of college education.The thesis adopted the literature research method,interdisciplinary research method and experience summary method,absorbed the results of positive psychological theory to explore the contents,principles and paths of college students' mental characters training in university's ideological and political education,hoping to promote the cultivation of college students' positive mental characters from many aspects.The thesis is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction of the research,which combs and reviews the background,the significance and the current status at home and abroad.The second part defines the concept of positive mental characters.It is clear that the positive mental characters of college students are positive personality accumulated during the growth process under the individual adaptation to the environment and the interaction with the environment.It has the characteristics of commonality,diversity,stability,latent etc.This thesis gives an overview of Marxism homonology,Positive Psychology and social support theory,which are related to the topic.The third part explains the necessity of cultivating college students' positive mental characters from higher education,ideological and political education,socialist core values education and core literacy cultivation,It also discusses the feasibility of training from theory and practice.The fourth part discussed the principles(the main body principle,the advantage principle,the development principle,the integrity principle)that the mental characters cultivation of college students should be followed and explained the content of the cultivating from six dimensions(cognition,interpersonal,emotion,justice,moderation,transcendence)with reference to VIA-IS(Values in Action Inventory of Strengths)and Positive Mental Characters Scale for Chinese College Students.The fifth part explores the way to cultivate college students' positive mental characters,that include playing the leading role of ideological and political education,promoting the self construction of positive mental characters and participating collaboratively of family,school and society.
