After the end of the new round of curriculum reform,the Ministry of Education promulgated the “Standard for High School Biology Curriculum”,which clearly put forward new requirements for biology courses,including improving biological science literacy and focusing on links with real life.after the curriculum reform,the textbooks,in addition to the traditional text content,add some auxiliary teaching columns,and the“relevant information” column is one of them.The “relevant information” section is dedicated to cultivating students' interest in learning and expanding students' biological horizons.However,due to curriculum design,insufficient class and many other reasons,there are a considerable part of the content is ignored in the practical teaching.This paper takes the “relevant information” column of the high school biology teaching material of PEP as the research object.It studies the classification,characteristics and functions of the teaching materials,analyzes the current situation of teachers' teaching and students' learning,and gives different teaching strategies for different “relevant information” contents,hoping to explore the value of the column in teaching,provide a certain reference for the secondary school biology teachers in the teaching,and provide a basis for the future improvement of teaching materials.First of all,this paper analyzes and introduces the high school biology teaching material of PEP,summarizes the definition and function of the teaching materials,and classifies the auxiliary materials of the teaching materials,which are the active columns,the exercises columns and the information columns.The “relevant information” column which the writer studied belongs to the information type column.Then the paper analyzes “relevant information” column,including the number and distribution of this column.On this basis,the writer classifies the “relevant information”column and analyzes the characteristics of the column to explore the role of the column.Then,by student questionnaire survey and the teacher interview record.this paper investigates the current situation of the “relevant information” column of the high school biology teaching material of PEP,the degree of awareness and the learning situation of students,and the degree of attention,use condition,teaching methods and other aspects of teachers in the practical teaching process,and then conducts a detailed data analysis of the results of the survey.Finally,this paper put forward the corresponding teaching strategies for different types of “relevant information” columns from the practical point,hoping to provide some reference for secondary school biology teachers in teaching activities.
