Inspiration And Reference From Autognosis Theory Of Jiddu Krishnamurti—in The Perspective Of Social Work

Jiddu Krishnamurti,a famous philosopher and educator of India in the 20th century,exerted a tremendous influence on the development of western philosophy and religion.After two World War,he was running about making speeches and dedicated to liberating people from fear and turmoil,leading them to feel love and freedom in the real of spirit.In Jiddu Krishnamurti’s view,the way to fundamentally change the society is to change the social cognition of actors and their self-awareness.The autognosis theory of Jiddu Krishnamurti taught people to focus their inner kindness and goodness until finally a peaceful state and complete self-development was reached.Accordingly,Jiddu Krishnamurti’s autognosis theory is available for social work.The thesis consists four parts.In the first part,the thesis introduces J.Krishnamurti’s life experience and his ideology origin.To understand his life will be advantageous to comprehend his instructions and tenor.In the second part,the thesis interprets autognosis theory of social work and its origin,providing J.Krishnamurti’s autognosis theory features between the past and now and revealing the enrichment and development of social work theory made by J.Krishnamurti’s autognosis theory.In the third part,the thesis tends to answer the question of what autognosis theory is,what autognosis theory does and the main points of the theory.Firstly,the thesis explains in detail the concept of ego from self constitution and self activity.Secondly,the thesis describes the difference between introspection and autognosis,making further efforts to explain the misunderstanding of social workers and help them to find their faults and difficulties during practices.Then the thesis puts forward some suggestions on why and how autognosis theory was used as basis to find questions,adjust emotions,realize humanity,change lifestyle and connections.Meanwhile,how to apply the theory feasibility is stated.In addition,the thesis detailed the progress of autognosis from three aspects,namely,the connections between autognosis and thinking,autognosis and time,and how to give audience,which provides a new reference for cognitive theory of social work practice.In discussing about J.Krishnamurti’s autognosis theory,the thesis mainly explores connections between autognosis,thinking and time,which differs from the past social work practice.For J.Krishnamurt,clients’ change is immediate instead of progressive.Now here’s the key:whether the difference provides a new idea for social work practice.Finally,the thesis makes an assessment on J.Krishnamurti’s autognosis theory.In the forth part,the thesis expounds the enlightenments of J.Krishnamurti’s for social work from social workers,service objects and social work practice.The thesis tends to illustrate J.Krishnamurti’s autognosis theory,analysis enlightenments of J.Krishnamurti’s autognosis theory for social work from social workers,service objects and socialwork practice until making a further reflection on helping others and self helping in the face of new theory.
