Design And Case Development Of Primary School STEM Curriculum

With the deepening of the reform of basic education curriculum,the curriculum integration has become the development trend of the basic education curriculum reform at home and abroad.How to integrate the curriculum effectively is a hot issue for researchers.STEM(Science,Technology,Engineering,Mathematics four English word abbreviation)education is the interdisciplinary education in science,technology,engineering and mathematics education is based on four field comprehensive educational integration.Although STEM education in the United States and other countries has been a great development,China’s STEM education is still in its infancy.In this paper,through the literature review of Chinese and foreign STEM education,combined with the characteristics of science education in primary schools in China,the basic framework of STEM curriculum design is constructed,and a practical project case is developed.The first part expounds the research background and significance of this paper,puts forward the research framework and research methods,and defines the core concepts.The second part: the current domestic and foreign STEM research literature,introduced the domestic and foreign research status of STEM education.Including STEM education,STEM literacy,STEM curriculum resources,STEM practice,STEM education evaluation,etc..Put forward the inspiration for writing this article.The third part: the concept and principle of the STEM curriculum design of primary school,as well as the goal,content,organization design and curriculum evaluation of STEM curriculum.The fourth part: Based on the content of the third part,combined with the actual situation of the primary school students’ life and study,the author has developed four types of the STEM curriculum cases.The fifth part: Reflection and Prospect of this study.Summarize the existing problems in the research and the problems that need to be further studied and solved inthe future,and look forward to the future of STEM curriculum and the implementation strategies.
