Learning Chinese characters is essential in the throughout the history of Chinese education of language,in which the principle of character formation and Chinese literacy teaching has a irreplaceable status.The principle of character formation and Chinese literacy teaching is a kind of pedagogy that used during class when teacher impart the knowledge of characters through the theory of the structure of characters,including analyzing the pronunciation,exterior and the meaning of Chinese characters.Teachers design the class by synthesis the theory of the principle of character formation and Chinese literacy teaching into stimulating content of the class.The goal of this pedagogy is to enable the students have grasp on that is taught by teachers,which includes the structure and the pronunciation,the meaning of characters,the history and process of how the characters transformed,the characters of the structure.Students may even be able to understand the inherent characteristics of Chinese characters from a macro perspective,which can foster the capability of study independently of students,understand the cultural identity behind those characters,and encouraging the students to embrace and explore the Chinese culture.The principle of character formation and Chinese literacy teaching suits the learning stages throughout the period of primary schools by combining with the characteristic of the development stages of students.The principle of character formation and Chinese literacy teaching promote the development of the core Chinese language ability of primary school student.The strength of the pedagogy is to motivate students to learn Chinese character,enhance the understanding of the characters' meaning,pronunciation and memorizing.Consequently,it can boost the students'construction of Chinese literacy,the ability to use language and the logic of Chinese.Likewise,it can also instill the value of beauty and promote the understanding of culture of students.From the view of development psychology,the principle of character formation and Chinese literacy teaching facilitate the students to understand the language arguably and learn the authentic rule of Chinese by studying the reasonable theory of character structure,which is an efficient means of learning and boost the courage of students.Meanwhile,the principle of character formation and Chinese literacy teaching presents the students with direct and vivid development of Chinese characters by various ways.In conclusion,the principle of character formation and Chinese literacy teaching not only suits the rules of Chinese language,but also providing different students with varied content.It can also provide students with ways of learning,interesting content as well as the applying of the language and the history of literacy.Therefore,it has the irreplaceable advantages.
