Chinese teaching in Burundi is developing rapidly,but there are many problems in Chinese teaching in middle school.In order to objectively understand the learning situation of Chinese learners of Burundi middle school,105 students from the middle schools in Burundi filled out the questionnaire about the teaching contents and methods.The theme based teaching method can solve the problem that the students are not interested in the boring class,the learning time is limited and and a series of problems,which also shows that the topic type teaching method is suitable for junior middle school students in Burundi comprehensive Chinese teaching.Combined with the "theme" teaching theory and Burundi local actual situation,the application of teaching design in Burundi middle school elementary Chinese comprehensive course to "food" as the theme,and applied in practice.The feedback given colleagues reviewed teachers,students and class teaching,puts forward the application of thematic teaching suggestions: first,to pay attention to the convergence of old and new knowledge,according to the number of students' ability to learn new knowledge to control,in accordance with the teaching of second language acquisition order.Second,teachers should play a leading role,to have control over the classroom.There are a lot of activities of the theme based teaching,teaching activities,the time must be allocated,to ensure the completion of teaching content,but also in accordance with the actual adjustment of classroom teaching.
