Chemistry is the natural science based on experiments. Chemical development and teaching are inseparable from the experiments. The full implementation of chemical curriculum standards can not be separated from chemical experiments. Junior middle school chemistry experiment teaching has been paid more and more attention, which also benefited from the rich teaching theory as support. In this context, this paper studies the present situation, causes and countermeasures of chemistry experiment teaching in junior middle school.The first part is the introduction. This paper is put forward in the background of the research from three aspects: the role of chemistry, the requirements of curriculum standards and the problems in chemistry experiment teaching. Then, it discusses the significance of junior middle school chemistry experiment teaching and introduces the three methods adopted in this study.The second part is literature review. First of all, some basic concepts of chemistry,chemical experiments, teaching, experimental teaching were interpreted; and then the writer puts forward the theoretical basis of chemical experiment teaching constructivism and the first organizers; Finally, the status of chemical experiments at home and abroad is analyzed.The third part is investigation and analysis about present situation of the chemistry experiment teaching in junior high school. The author conducted an online questionnaire survey from part of the chemistry teachers in the city, the survey results were analyzed to get causes of the current situation.The fourth part is about chemistry experiment teaching countermeasure in junior middle school. Based on the previous constructivism, the first organizer theory,combined with the cause analysis, the author mainly put forward their own views from the experimental teaching strategy, chemical experiment form, experimental teaching evaluation, and also provides support for the following experimental case.The fifth part is about junior high school chemistry experiment teaching case. I have chosen a teaching case to illustrate, presenting a well-designed teaching design. Further on, the experimental teaching evaluation methods are also introduced.Part six is the Conclusion and Reflection: (1) Experimental teaching is not only an important part of chemical teaching, but also an important means to help the formation of a scientific view of chemistry, chemical thinking; constructivism theory and the first organizers Theory provide theoretical support for experimental teaching. (2) teachers can combine their own needs, based on constructivist or pre-organizers of the demonstration experiments, scientific inquiry experiments, heuristic experiments, life experiments and multimedia-assisted experiments and other experimental methods, while using diversified experimental teaching evaluation and thus reflecting the shortcomings of the study.
