Mathematical ideas method is the soul of mathematics, and it is the guarantee of improving the quality of mathematics teaching. The new curriculum standard of mathematics explicitly puts forward that mathematical thinking method is an important part of basic knowledge of mathematics.As a large module of mathematical ideas,classification discussion theory involves all the knowledge points of high school mathematics, and is very important in mathematics learning. The research of mathematical problems and solving mathematical problems need to do more exercises,analyze more cases, which are even important in the usual teaching process. Teachers should use the mathematics ideas and methods and make students learn to use these methods to solve mathematical problems. In this thesis, the motivation of the form of classification discussion, the form of exercise and the form of methods in solving mathematical problems are discussed. Combining with the teaching practice, we design a questionnaire,and the purpose of it is to help teachers and students to pay attention to the idea of classification discussion, and guide teachers' teaching and students' learning . In accordance with the characteristics of classification discussion theory in mathematics classroom teaching, this thesis puts forward that in the middle school mathematics teaching, teachers and students should pay attention to the classification discussion idea.Improve the arrangement of teaching materials, and apply extensively the method of classification discussion thought in teaching materials. We use modern educational research methods to study the classification discussion idea in middle school mathematics learning. Through questionnaire analysis reveals the idea of classification discussion is very helpful to guide the teaching practice and mathematics learning.
