With the development of robot technology, robot is gradually applied in the field of education. Nowadays, we are approaching the era of the artificial intelligent, it brings a new development for educational robot. Compared with traditional robot,on the one hand,intelligent educational robot can assist in organizing teaching activities which construct a real-life environment, on the other hand, it can bring students new learning experience combined with voice command and action mode, it can accompany student during the learning process. When it comes to English teaching,there is no doubt that the best way for language learning is to build up a real and interactive language environment. In China, English teaching lacks native learning language environment. Although the use of computer multimedia technology and mobile application technology to build the language environment was once the only and effective way, the fly in the ointment is in such a way there is a lack of interaction.With the emergence of intelligent educational robot, it can not only improve the shortage of interaction,but also can bring new learning experience and optimize lexical teaching efficiency.This study adopts the literature research method, the questionnaire survey method and the interview method. At the same time, according to the theory of constructivism learning and Gagne's teaching design principle, the author tries to explore the teaching design based on the textbook, which is integrated into the teaching process. Besides,this study summarizes the robot-assisted English vocabulary teaching through the teaching design evaluation in order to provide reference for the future application of educational robot. And one aim of this study is to improve students' interest in learning English and optimize teaching effect.This paper is divided into six parts. The first part is the introduction. This paper presents the research background and significance, and sorts out the current research of educational robot in china and abroad. The second part is the theoretical basis and technical support. It mainly defined the related concepts of educational robot and concluded the theoretical basis of the research and the technical support of educational robot. The third part is the research project which includes research objectives,research content, the key issues to be solved, research methods and feasibility analysis.The fourth part builds up robot-assisted English vocabulary teaching instructional design,including learning analysis, teaching tools,teaching process,teaching activities design,script design and teaching resources. The fifth part is the teaching design evaluation and reflection. Specifically, through the questionnaire survey and interviews,this paper concludes advantages and disadvantages of teaching design from perspectives of clarity, achievement, openness and promotion. The sixth part is the summary and prospect. This paper mainly summarizes the research, points out the shortcomings of the research and prospects the research.
