In the field of basic education,with the deepening of curriculum reform,the school pays more and more attention to the cultivation of students’ innovative ability.Robot education is one of the important ways to cultivate students’ creative ability.In foreign countries,robot education has been integrated into STEM education to integrate science,technology,engineer,and mathematics so as to cultivate students’ abilities in all aspects.China’s robot education is still in its infancy.Only a small number of schools are setting up.Because robot education has special characteristics,after the design of robot teaching activities and the implementation of robot teaching activities,how to evaluate students’ innovative ability is also a key problem.First of all,this study integrates the literature related to robot teaching in the context of STEM,analyzes the current research status,focuses on robot education and STEM education,and robot education integrated into STEM education,providing the theoretical basis for the next study.Secondly,using the ADDIE instructional model as a prototype to construct the VEX robot teaching framework under the STEM background,and conducting empirical teaching research in the classroom,using the rules of the "in the zone" VEX robot project from 2017 to 2018 as a guide.The robot is built and programmed in stages.The first stage is the construction and programming of the robot chassis.The second stage is the robot’s raising and programming.The third stage is the construction and programming of the robot grips.Cultivate students’ creativity.In the end,the monitoring of classroom effects and the using of the robot classroom before and after the student utilization scale were statistically analyzed,collated and summarized,and conclusions were obtained.The research results show that most of the students are very interested in the VEX robotics course and have significantly improved the six basic aspects of robotics,hands-on ability,program design ability,problem solving ability,creativity,and team cooperation ability.Using Williams’ Creativity Tendency Scale,24 students in the VEX robotics community were pre-tested and post-tested.The results showed that robot teaching is beneficial to the development of students’ innovative ability. |
