This study analyzed the influence mechanism of ego-identity of junior high school students from the perspective of individual level and peer group level. The methods of mean difference comparison, correlation analysis, regression analysis and structural equation model were used to explore the influence mechanism of self-perceived peer relationship, teacher-student relationship, parent-child communication on junior high school students' ego-identity. UCINet software was used to select the peer group of junior high school students, and compared the differences of ego-identity between different types of peer groups, combined with HLM analysis of regulation effect of peer group influence on ego-identity factors of junior middle school students. The main conclusions are as follows:At the individual level, the rural students' ego-identity crisis score significantly higher than city students; ego-identity crisis score increased with increasing grade; the boys "distraction" scores were significantly higher than girls, girls' "identity diffusion" score significantly higher than boys; teacher-student relationship and parent-child communication had significant effects on ego-identity, and the predictive effect of self-perceived peer relationship on ego-identity was not significant. At the group level, the rural group members' "distraction" score was significantly higher than the city group members'; ego-identity crisis score increased with the increasing group grade; male-group members'"distraction" scores were significantly higher than female-group members'; after analysis by HLM, the group level variables has a moderating effect on the individual level variables, group grade had a negative moderating effect on the influence of the relationship between teachers and students on ego-identity, group had a positive moderating effect on the influence of teachers and students' status difference on ego-identity, group density had a positive moderating effect on the influence of teachers and students' status difference on ego-identity,group's academic achievement had a positive moderating effect on the influence of peer relationship on ego-identity.This study separated the influencing factors of the group level from the individual level, using hierarchical linear model to prove that peer group had a moderating effect on the influence factors of individual level of ego-identity crisis of junior high school students. Prompted a new method and thought for researcher on ego-identity.
