Population is the dominant factor in the development of human society.And its structural status is not only an important factor endowment of industrial structure,but also effects the direction of industrial structure transformation and upgrading through the composition of labor force,quality and demand structure.Population age structure,urban and rural structure and gender structure also play a role in constraining of the development and optimization of industrial structure.In addition,the adjustment of industrial structure also spreads to the population structure,the spatial flow of population and human capital accumulation,causing a linkage effect.Therefore,the coupling between population structure and industrial structure is worthy of our in-depth study.Thus,how to promote the coordinating interaction and healthy development of population structure and economic structure has become a major question,which impacts China's socio-economic sustainable developmentBased on the model of coupling coordination degree in physics,the coupling degree between population structure and industrial structure is calculated by constructing a series of steps of index system,including data standardization,index weighting,comprehensive level index calculation,coupling degree model and coordination degree model Coordination degree.The results show that the coupling coordination degree is quite different among provinces.From the perspective of development tendency,the coupling degree between China's population structure and industrial structure improves constantly.There are regional differences in the coupling degree between population structure and industrial structure.The coupling degree of eastern regions is higher than that of the middle and west regions.The eastern regions need to optimize the population structure while upgrading the industrial structure.The central regions require to accelerate the upgrading of industrial structure.And the western regions should be accurate in positioning and coordinated development.The static panel data model,the dynamic panel data model and the spatial measurement model are used to analyze the economic growth and coupling coordination degree.The results show that the coupling coordination degree between the population structure and industrial structure promotes the economic growth,and the higher the coupling coordination degree is,the better the economic growth efficiency gets.There also exists a spatial correlation about the coupling degree of coordination,which is about that a region of the coupling degree of one region has a "spillover" influence on its adjacent areas.Overall,the degree of mutual matching which is between China's population structure and industrial structure is not high.In order to improve the coordination degree between population structure and industrial structure,actions must be taken as follows.On the one hand,the adjustment of population structure needs speeding up to form a “ new demographic dividend”.On the other hand,the adjustment of the industrial structure also needs speeding up to enlarge its feedback towards population structure.Finally,according to local conditions,the balanced development of population structure and industrial structure also needs to be paid attention to.
