The Research On Subject-selections Of Master's Dissertation In Archival Science Based On CNKI

Subject selection is a key step of master's dissertation and it's an important factor that affects the quality of the theses.Based on the statistics of 1193 subjects of master's dissertation in the field of archives science that included in CNKI from 2004 to 2016,this article analyzes the hot spots,sources and effects of the theses.It explores the features and influencing of the subject,and then puts forward some strategies for subject selection.This paper aims to provide some references for afterwards researchers to choose research subject,for universities' graduate cultivation,and then to promote archival academic development.This thesis mainly analyzes the subjects of master's dissertation of archives science from the keywords and titles.Firstly,through keyword frequency statistics and co-word clustered analysis,we can find that master's dissertations of archives science focus on these research hotspots: information service of archives,development and utilization of archives,corporate archives,archives websites,opening of archives,digital archives,protection of archives,archival science and archival normalization.And these research hotspots can be classified into three types through the changing curve.Then,it analyzes the difference among the subjects from three sources: the research direction of the universities,research fields of tutors and independent subjects,and also analyzes the influence of subjects from the frequency of citation download with the information of CNKI.According to multi-dimension analysis of the subjects of master's dissertation,it points out the advantages and disadvantages of subjects of master's dissertations,as well as the factors which may affect subject selection.The advantages reflect in the following four aspects: outstanding contemporaneity,high possibility,attaching great importance to practical research,increasing crossover study.And the disadvantages are as too much similar subjects,improper difficulty,less international research Finally,weak theoretical study.In the process of subject-selection,postgraduates may be affected by such factors as social development environment,research direction of universities,research fields of tutors and personal qualities.From the perspective of postgraduates,it puts forward some tactics to optimize subject selection of master's dissertations in the area of archival science,for instance,keeping up with the times,taking advantage of resources,enhancing communication with tutor,promoting knowledge application.Finally,it expresses the future research trends in prospects.
