This essay was discussing the relationship between the Chinese literature teaching and excellent traditional culture in high school, it used these study approaches which were documentary study, survey study and case analysis. According to this essay, we hope it can promote the application of Chinese traditional culture in high school's Chinese reading class,and trigger the thought of other educator or researcher.The essay was divided into five parts:Chapter ? Introduction of object of study, present situation ,methods,and significance.Chapter ? Tease out the traditional culture in the textbook(PEP),which included traditional etiquette, folk custom, the spirit of ancient saints and scholars.Chapter ? State the present situation of Chinese traditional culture in Chinese teaching ,make the analysis from cultural connotation and its reality and explain its practical significance and necessity.Chapter ? The practical exploration of using Chinese traditional culture in high school's Chinese literature class from three aspects,Chinese literature teaching in high school is the supporter and transmission tools for traditional culture;the combination of ancient and modern time;the analysis of case study to illustrate teaching methods about traditional culture.Chapter ? Conclusion and improvement.
