The Experimental Research On Acquiring Chinese Vowels Of Thai Primary Students

Based on the theory of vowel pattern, this paper studies the acquisition order and process of Chinese vowels of 60 primary school pupils from the first grade to the sixth grade by the method of listening test and acoustic experiments. Besides,studying Chinese vowel acquisition characteristics of Thai pupils through comparative analysis, the Thai adults who learn Chinese vowels and the children whose mother tongue are Chinese were used as the control group. The full text is divided into six chapters:The first Chapter is the introduction, which explains the meaning of the topic,introduces the research background and theoretical basis, and finally introduces the research contents and methods of this paper.The second chapter compares the first class vowel systems between Chinese and Thai systematically. It sketches the first class vowels in Chinese and Thai language,and then compares those from the aspect of the vowel chart.The third chapter is a listening test analysis of Chinese vowels on Thai Primary School Students, and study the acquisition order of Chinese vowels of primary school students in Thailand according to the results of the listening test. Finally, comparing the acquisition order of Chinese vowels between Thai adults and Chinese children.In chapter four, we make an acoustic experimental analysis on the acquisition of Chinese vowels of Thai pupils. According to the results of acoustics experiment, we study the characteristics and laws of Chinese vowel pronunciation by comparing the control group from two aspects, which is the reversal and pronunciation errors of Chinese vowel pronunciation ability of pupils in Thailand.The fifth chapter puts forward the corresponding vowel teaching suggestions on the basis of studying results.The last chapter is the conclusion.
