Teacher's professional development is related to the surrounding environment,because the teachers survive in a complicated teaching situation.Educational ecology aims to explore the relationship between environment and education,to explain the educational phenomenon,then to reveal the regularity of education.So educational ecology provides a proper perspective to probe the teachers' professional development.According to this perspective,the teacher is regarded as one of the main body in the whole educational ecosystem,its growth Its growth is the process of continuous interaction with the ecosystem.The novice teachers,who are at an initial phase to teachers' career lives.And they will face a more special ecological environment,surrounding environmental factors not agreeing with them.The growth of "new" teacher will affect the direction of teachers' career lives,it is the key period in teacher's professional development.This essay attempt to discuss the growth and adjustment of the novice teacher when they faced these change and challenge from the perspective of educational ecology.And the educational ecology have provided a new thought from its character of inter-discipline.This article adopts the method of case study,regard the new teacher as the ecological subject in the ecosystem.Using the analysis view point of ecological research in educational issues: subject and environment,genesis and variation,balance and imbalance,symbiosis and competition,which was put forward in the article “On the Appropriateness of Ecology for Educational Research” from Liu Guihua and Zhu Xiaoman in 2007.This study emphasized on a theoretical level to card and analyze.The first dimension subject and environment corresponding to the novice teacher and the educational environment,the description of the story reveal that the school system and spiritual environment have influenced on the novice teachers,they actively adapt to the conditions;The second dimension genesis and variation corresponding to the inheritance and creation of knowledge,the new teacher experience from imitation to the original,from a novice to a old hand by setting up experiences;The third dimension balance and imbalance corresponding to internalcoordination and conflict,through the new teachers' teaching reflection step by step,the class from a mess at the beginning to orderly,later the novice teacher learn to master the class using the management of language,the relationship between teachers and students also from the conflict to ease,everything have a step forward in the recycling process from balance--imbalance--balance;The last dimension symbiosis and competition corresponding to cooperation and competition,symbiosis and competition in the cooperation between old and new teachers,make progress together in love want to kill.Finally,this paper put forward four suggestions in the education ecology to the new teacher's growth: optimizing the teaching environment,to promote the independent development of the novice teacher;Accumulating the teaching experience,to promote the new teacher's original;Writing teaching reflection,to relieves the new teacher's self adjustment;Building community growth,to lead new teacher's self-perfection.
