Education is the foundation of national rejuvenation and social progress.As a developing agricultural country,China's rural basic education is particularly important.Especially with the advancement of urban and rural integration and the basic education reform,rural education problems emerge one after another.Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the current situation and countermeasures of rural middle school history teaching.In this paper,based on the huixian city in henan province five rural schools history teaching current situation as the research object.In order to fully understand the current situation of rural middle school history teaching in our city,around the "History teachers basic situation","History teacher's professional education","history teacher teaching status","Students' history learning status","history curriculum evaluation" and so on the five rural middle school teachers and students to carry out questionnaire survey,classroom observation,teacher interviews.Through the investigation found that the new curriculum reform and the improvement of teaching methods have been widely recognized by our county rural middle school history teachers,and the new curriculum concept has also been accepted by the majority of rural middle school history teachers.However,the implementation of curriculum reform in our county rural middle schools is not as smooth as imagined,there are still many problems.Such as: rural middle school history teachers lack sufficient understanding of the new curriculum reform;Rural middle school history teachers' professional knowledge can not adapt to the new curriculum reform requirements,education training is a mere formality;Cooperative inquiry is the form,the enthusiasm of student participation is not high;Teaching methods and teaching measures are monotonous,teaching evaluation is still based on examination results;The educational function of history discipline has not been fully developed,etc.Through the analysis of the results of the survey,the author found some major influential reasons for our county rural middle school history teaching.First,the existence of a large number of non professional history teachers is not conducive to the full implementation of the new curriculum reform.Second,school administrators lack enough attention to the subject of history.Third,the rural middle school history teachers lack the initiative of new curriculum reform.Fourth,the rural middle school students' history learning styleis unitary,lack of learning interest.Fifth,the rural middle school history teaching evaluation method has not fundamentally changed.To solve these problems,the author puts forward some suggestions,hope that the majority of rural county middle school history teachers can arouse the enthusiasm of their own initiative,take the initiative to improve their teaching methods,promote the change of students learning methods,strengthen research consciousness and scientific research ability.Through these measures,and ultimately achieve the goal of improve rural middle school history teaching level.
