The period of Students in university is a lifetime of the golden period.In this stage of university students are in adolescence to youth,physiological indicators developed close to maturity,while students also have a rapid psychological development and changes.The most prominent is reflected in people's emotions.Emotional content become richer and more profound,emotional expression is more implicit,emotional fluctuations are more intense,emotions often explosive.As a result of the role of change,emotional distress,academic stress,poor interpersonal relationships,employment pressure,social pressure,making modern university students are likely to cause heart conflicts,leading to psychological imbalance,self-esteem,anxiety,depression,loneliness and other emotional problems.This is an urgent need for family,school,society,according to the law of the development of emotional emotions,to carry out targeted guidance and regulation.Emotional intelligence refers to the individual in the work,study and life can effectively identify and understand their own and others' emotions,and use the effective information obtained to adjust their behavior,the ability to solve the problem.the People who have high level of emotional intelligence can respond to new situations and their emotional changes in learning,living and working in a timely and sensitive manner.Rational use emotional information to make decisions and response,and identify and control their own and others' emotions.A large number of studies have shown that the development of emotional intelligence can effectively alleviate the various pressures caused by anxiety,irritability,depression and other negative emotions.Group counseling through the creation of a community situation,give full play to the interpersonal interaction within the group,the individual in the interaction between them through close observation,mutual learning,personal experience,continue to understand and explore the self,to improve the relationship with others,learning Have a new attitude and behavior,to stimulate their own potential.A large number of studies have shown that group counseling is an effective way to improve the individual's self-efficacy,interpersonal skills,self-concept level,self-confidence,mental health level,stress management ability and anxiety reduction.This study first reviews the concept of emotional intelligence at home and abroad,the theoretical basis,introduces the emotional intelligence model and the emotional intelligence scale developed based on each model,and discusses the concept of group counseling,the theoretical basis and the relationship between group counseling and emotional management the study.Secondly,the group psychological counseling method is used to intervene the emotional intelligence of university students.From the group of psychological counseling experience of college students selected subjects,through their centralized investigation and active guidance,so that voluntary participation in the group psychological counseling activities.Sixteen subjects were selected,including eight males and eight females,and randomly divided them into experimental and control groups.The experimental group consisted of eight persons,including four males and four females.The control group consisted of eight persons,including four males and four females.Excluding the impact of gender factor and increasing the accuracy of the experiment.All the subjects were aged between 18-20 years old,grade 1 to grade 3,the family was a complete family.Before the experiment,the emotional intelligence scale(EIS)was used to test the experimental group and the control group and paired samples T test.There was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in the level of emotional intelligence(p>0.05).Then take the activities of group counseling each week,the time is 90 minutes for the subjects in the experimental group,the control group without any treatment,after 8 weeks,then the emotional intelligence of the experimental group and control group in the post test.In the 1 months after the group counseling,the experimental group and the control group were followed up.The following results are obtained through the study:(1)The experimental group and control group in the group psychological counseling activities before the measurement of emotional intelligence results of paired samples T test,found in emotional perception,emotional management,emotional management and emotional use of other four dimensions were no significant difference(p>0.05),and in the emotional intelligence scores,there was no significant difference(p>0.05).There was no significant difference in emotional intelligence between the experimental group and the control group,which laid the foundation for further study.(2)The experimental group and control group in the measurement of emotional intelligence of group counseling activities after the results of paired samples T test,found that there were significant differences in emotional perception,emotional management,self management,emotional use and emotional intelligence score(p<0.05).(3)The experimental group and control group tracing measurement of emotional intelligence on group counseling activities after the results of paired samples T test,found in emotional perception,emotional management,emotional management and emotional use of other four dimensions were no significant difference(p>0.05),but in emotional intelligence scores,there were significant difference.(4)The experimental group before and after group counseling emotional intelligence measure results of independent sample T test,found that there were significant differences in emotional perception,emotional management,self management,emotional use and emotional intelligence score(p<0.05).(5)The experimental group and tracking measurement results for independent samples T test in group counseling activities,found in emotional perception,emotional management,emotional management and emotional use of other four dimensions were no significant difference(p>0.05),but in emotional intelligence scores,there were significant differences.(6)The experimental group in the group psychological counseling activities and tracking measurement results of independent sample T test,found in emotional perception,emotional management,emotional management and emotional use of other four dimensions were no significant difference(p>0.05),but in emotional intelligence scores,there were significant differences(p<0.05).(7)of the control group in the group psychological counseling activities before and after the measurement results were compared with independent samples T test,found in emotional perception,emotional management,emotional management and emotional use of others and the four dimensions of emotional intelligence scores were no significant difference(p>0.05).(8)The control group before and after group counseling and follow-up measurement results were compared with independent samples T test,found in emotional perception,emotional management,emotional management and emotional use of others and the four dimensions of emotional intelligence scores were no significant difference(p>0.05).Through the analysis of the experimental results,We get the following conclusions:(1)Group counseling can effectively improve the level of emotional intelligence of College students.(2)The group members of group counseling were significantly higher than those in the control group in the following four dimensions: emotional perception,emotional management,emotional management and emotional use.(3)Group counseling has a good time delay for the group members who take part in the intervention.(4)The design of group psychological counseling activities,which is scientific and feasible,can provide reference for the cultivation of College Students' emotional intelligence.
