Music education not only belong to aesthetic education but also quality education.As a discipline of arts,language of instruction during music teaching plays an important role in linking teachers and students,imparting knowledge,cultivating students' healthy aesthetic standard and training students ability of appreciate and create beauty.Danmark linguistician Sparkson has pointed out that language has a good guiding role,it reflects the realm of a teacher's thinking,and can improve the students' learning ability.Thus,teachers' teaching language skills directly affect the teaching effect.The new curriculum reform requires more from the front-line teachers.The music teachers should keep improving their proficiency to meet the needs of constant changing and developing situation.It is worth a discussion and research from the music teachers on the importance of classroom teaching language.Under the background of new curriculum reform,a study was designed basing on the features of the music course and the domestic cases of effective application of classroom teaching language when the author was in his internship period at Zhanjiang No.X High School.Interviews with the music teaching and researching group,field observations and investigations in their music classes and random communication and questionnaires with their students were taken to support the study.This paper will mainly focus on specifying the problems that the front-line music teachers have met in applying classroom teaching language and give corresponding theoretical suggestions under the background of new curriculum reform.This paper is consisted of four chapters.The first chapter generally introduces the background of the research,reasons for choosing the topic,the significance of the study and the review of related literature.The second chapter explores the theory of classroom teaching language of music teachers which mainly focuses on the explanation of related concepts,classification of different teaching languages and the necessity to optimize the classroom teaching language.The third chapter makes an analysis of the present situation of the teaching language application of the music teachers at Zhanjiang No.X Middle School,and then points out the existing problems and lists out the factors that may lead to these.The fourth chapter,considering the existing problems of music teachers' application of teaching language in domestic high schools,gives some suggestion to optimize the application and provides some approaches to improve the teaching quality and efficiency.
