Pre-learning is a process of learning independently for students,which is to make the students do a preliminary understanding to the course before class.English pre-learning is beneficial to the students in the junior high schools to develop good studying habits and self-learning ability.However,it can be discussed that there have been certain problems of unreasonable design and low interests from students in applying English pre-learning in the junior high schools.Micro class,as a new and convenient educational technology,is more and more vital to modern education.Many schools or educational institutions have made use of micro class to make an attempt for solving the problems of students' pre-learning.By collecting relevant data,it realized the present situation of English pre-learning in the junior high schools as well as the research status of the education mode of micro class abroad and domestically.Then,it clarified the related concepts and theories,including the notion of micro class,English pre-learning and the characteristics of pre-learning for the students in the junior high schools.The relevant theories included the student-based education theory and meaningful learning theory,which laid the theoretical foundation for the following research studies.By choosing two classes randomly to make an questionnaire survey and interviewing five teachers of that school,it revealed the problems in English pre-learning in the junior high school and proved that the application of micro class in English pre-learning of junior high school could be feasible by analyzing the teachers' condition and software and hardware devices.Therefore,it put forward the principles of application design and the strategies of implementation of English pre-learning in junior high school based on micro class for solving the problems of how to design the platform.The Design principles might contain identifying learning time,clearing learning goals and contents and defining learning flow.The implementation strategies might comprise the placement of pre-learning contents,the examination of students' learning,finding students' learning problems and the targeted adjustment of the teaching plan.On this basis,three class examples were designed in this paper to improve the English pre-learning in the junior high schools based on Micro class,which would supply references to the majority of teachers and improving their teaching efficiency.
