The Research On Personality Education Thoughts Of Jiang Menglin

Jiang Menglin is a famous educator during the period of the Republic of China,who also is one of the advocates, holding the development of personality and personality education. In his long-term study experience and teaching practice, owing to his incisive speech about education, Jiang Menglin has made his contribution on the development of personality education. At the present time, developing personality and implementing personality education are being pursued by various countries in the world. Besides, due to the increasing growth of reform and open up and market economy, as well as educational reform, we must make great efforts to develop personality education. Studying Jiang Menglin's ideological system about personality education as well as its specific contents will be helpful for acquiring good ideas and experience to understand or solve issues. In addition, it can also supply appreciate, positive enlightenment for current work on ideological and political education so as to make improvement on education.The article is divided into three parts. Finally, the thesis made a fair and objective evaluation to Jiang Menglin's personality education thought from two aspects of the place of progress and limitations. Moreover, contacted with the current development situation, it tried to find out the positive part of Jiang Menglin's personality education thought, which has given us a good deal of enlightenment for the work on personality education, ideological and political education, such as emphasizing on personality education concept, respecting the education object, innovating education ways and means and realizing the unification of the personalization and socialization.
