Jiang Menglin is a well-known educator in the history of modern higher education in China. He has served as the president of Peking University,National Zhejiang University, and Southwest Associated University, and has formed a perfect moral education thought in educational practice.Jiang Menglin's moral education thought has rich connotation, which is embodied in the concept of moral education with equal emphasis on individual and society,as a goal of cultivating a sound individual's moral education, and various forms of moral education.Due to culture, education, and unique teacher-student relationship,Jiang Menglin's moral education thought is influenced by his teachers John Dewey and Cai Yuanpei to varying degrees, and has obvious inheritance.Through comparative research,it is found that Jiang Menglin does not stick to the thoughts of the teachers, but formed a set of his own moral education according to the reality of the country. In general,Jiang Menglin's moral education has distinctive characteristics such as the clarity of moral education goals, the comprehensiveness of moral education content and the diversity of moral education methods. These also gave modern moral education works to inspire. To treat Jiang Menglin's moral education rationally,we must not only see that he promotes the construction of a new concept of moral education, and promotes the modern transformation of moral education, but also point out the limitations in his thinking, including a little bluntness when studying the West, and the idea that education can save the country is too idealistic, and these affect the scientific nature of its thinking to a certain extent.
