Beijing Normal University set up the first Department of Education in 1923,which marked the birth of pedagogy specialty in China.In 1950s,the Department of Education experienced institutional adjustment under the tide of learning from Soviet Union.In 1951,the first national Normal Education Conference set the training target of pedagogical education,namely training pedagogy teachers and psychology teachers for the secondary normal school.In 1960s,the training target has been extended to cultivate educational researchers and education administrators.The training target holds a decisive position in curriculum content.Such training target has accelerated the spread of basic education and the process of eliminating the illiteracy in special historical period.Along with the concealment of Secondary normal school and the decrease of normal training college and normal university,the former training target is no longer appropriate.known that comprehensive university has also undertook the task of training teachers and pedagogical course are just a small part of teacher training curriculum,the researchers are worried about the survival of pedagogy specialty.Based on such a practical background,this paper tends to discuss the training target for full-time pedagogy majors on the basis of post-modernity theory.This research is based on the(??)' s post-modern curriculum theory.It tends to deeply analysis the curriculum setting from open curriculum objectives,4R curriculum content,developmental curriculum assessment and multiple personalized training mode.Besides,the text analysis was used to analyze the talent training plans for pedagogy majors.The talent training plans were collected from three normal universities affiliated with ministry of education and two provincial normal universities.According to the analysis from talent training plans,curriculum structures and credits allocation and curriculum content,it found that:1)talent training target was highly set and the corresponding training request lack of openness.Curriculum structure lack of science,which had attach too much importance to professional course,required course and theoretical course,less to core curriculum,elective course and practical course.In terms of curriculum content,the core curriculum lack of times,the professional course was disorganized and practical course becomes formalistic.Based on text analysis,a questionnaire survey was conducted and the respondents were chosen from Central China Normal University and Hubei University of Education.It aimed to probe into the present status and problems of curriculum setting for pedagogy majors.The results validated the text analysis:the training plans is highly over the level of students;the core curriculum content is out of date;professional course lack of disciplinarity.The function of practical course is too weak;course satisfaction is low.According to the results,this paper explore the influence factors of curriculum setting from the talent training plan design,educational administration and academic board.At last,according to the research results,some suggestions were proposed,including renew the curriculum design idea,reforming the curriculum plan,improving the curriculum implementation and evaluation and establish a system to insure curriculum implementation.
