Malay language (Bahasa Malaysia) is the official language for Malaysia; in secondary and primary school, Malay language is a compulsory course for all students.However, Malay language is always been a tough subject for Chinese primary school(SRJK(C)) s’ student to excel in examination, to further their studies or even to get a job in future.This research divided into three parts. The first part will provide reasoning behind this research. Objective for this research is to enhance teaching quality then to benefit students in Malay language writing skill (Penulisan Bahasa Malaysia), by using one to one method of Malay language writing research case, this paper will go in detail to discuss how SALAK method can helps Chinese primary school student to increase their Malay language writing quality. In addition, there are not many references on enhancing Malay language writing skill paper written in Chinese version; therefore this paper will serve as a good reference for Chinese medium teacher to understand Malay language writing skill. In literature review section,there will also be a review of all papers and journal on writing skill from Malaysia and overseas. In this paper, qualitative research method is been used, this is including of literature review, content analysis, comparison method, and information gather to concrete research result, question and answer survey form is given to students to gather feedback, interviews of still serving principal, teachers and tuition teachers been conducted. This will give a better insight from all perspective and all angles to analyze objectively the problem faced by Chinese student in their writing. This will help to get the most suitable method to increase their writing skill.The second part is from the Chinese student’ s writing skill and the teacher’ s teaching performance to show how did SALAK method aided students and teachers to encounter the problem. Third part of the paper will be some suggestions on increasing the quality of teaching for Malay language writing. First, increase subject content and build connection between daily life and subject. Second, more interesting teaching method and more lively class. Third, encourage reading to increase writing skill. Forth, building interest in Chinese student in writing.Although there been a few research on language writing skill, however mainly is using Malay language as a medium, rarely to get a Chinese version research on the topic,this research is mainly focus on Chinese primary school students. In addition, this research included difficulties faced with the latest syllabus; hope the result from the paper and the suggestions made will be able to reflect our current generation.
