The excellent traditional culture of South-Fujian and Taiwan is a general term for the excellent traditional culture of southern region of Fujian province and Taiwan province, including folk customs, dialects, traditional opera, religion, folk art, etc. as its structure and advocating Confucianism and education, worshipping the ancestors,struggling hard to win, pursuing interests and contributing to the society and having strong but flexible character, etc. as its features. Fujian and Taiwan sharing with the same culture and race identifies the same root and blood of cross-straits culture. The excellent traditional culture education of South-Fujian and Taiwan helps improve cross-straits ties.It is a powerful tool to break the political scheme of "splitting China" and "cultural independence of Taiwan" of Taiwan -independence forces. Guided by the theories of the culture identity and national & local curriculum compendium, the study on the excellent traditional culture of South-Fujian and Taiwan integrating into English school-based curriculum in senior high school was led by Education Research Center of Xiangan District Bureau of Education, curriculum experts, principals and teachers &students participating in this experiment. Taking advantage of the education and cultural exchanges with Taiwan in our region, our research group integrates the essence of the excellent traditional culture of South-Fujian and Taiwan into the whole process of planning, constructing, implementing, evaluating and improving English school-based curriculum in three senior high schools in our district.First of all, in the early stage of the investigation, the pre-experiment test and survey on the current situation are carried out by quantitative and qualitative research. In the period of theoretical analysis, the basic theories of the excellent traditional culture of South-Fujian and Taiwan integrating into English school-based curriculum in senior high school are differentiated. These two stages are aimed at finding out the crux of the school-based curriculum and further confirming the background, objectives and methods of the research. Secondly, in the stage of theoretical research, the "multi-dimensional"development model and "five dimensions" development system of the excellent traditional culture of South-Fujian and Taiwan integrating into English school-based curriculum in senior high school are further studied and constructed, which forming the unique structural model and curriculum system. The multi development model aims to achieve multi subject, goal, content, implementation and evaluation of the development of school-based curriculum, the dimensional development model focuses on the creative research on dimensional influncing factors, organizational and executing process. The "five dimensions" development system includes the systematic study on the target, content, implementation, evaluation and security systems, developing some valuable scales. Last but not the least, the experimental results are tested by the post-test design, showing that the attitude of high-school students towards the excellent traditional cultural items of South-Fujian and Taiwan was significantly different before and after the teaching. What's more,great changes have taken place on the attitude of high-school students after their learning the excellent traditional cultural items of South-Fujian and Taiwan. The overall research design embodies the realistic research route, following the procedure of "why to do, what it is, what to do, how to do, how great it is, what to be".In order to ensure the excellent traditional culture of South-Fujian and Taiwan integrating into English school-based curriculum in senior high school can help to inherit the excellent traditional culture and develop the English ability of high school students,we should reconsider the unique value of English curriculum and the humanistic value of English education, re-examine ways and methods of protecting and inheriting the excellent traditional culture of South-Fujian and Taiwan, and excavate the curriculum resources of local excellent traditional culture and achieve innovation on the subject mode of "morality and personality cultivation" from the theoretical and practical perspectives...
