Health affair is proved to be a social problem.The effect of Social capital on health situation of residents is widely concerned.On the one hand,previous researches hardly focused on the health situation of rural residents,ignoring the uniqueness and cultural meanings of the measurement of social capital of rural residents.on the other hand,researches pay little attention on mental health situation of rural residents,they center on health situation of left-behinde children or the elderly suicide phenomenon in countryside,which explore the mental health of rural residents from a non-integral perspective.This research firstly emphasized the importance of mental health situation of rural residents,secondly concerned the cultural meaning of social capital in“semi-acquaintance society”,and explored the influence of social capital on mental health of rural residents.The research used the questionnaire survey method,based on the investigation in County S,Anhui Province,and investigated the situation of social capital and mental health status of 340 rural residents.The author confirmed the conceptual framework of Putnam's social capital,operationalized the social capital of rural residents to three first-order indicators as "participation network","reciprocity norms" and "social trust"."Participation network,included two first-level indicators,"network structure" and"society participation"."Reciproity norms" included two first-order indicators,"coopration awareness"and"reciprocity action"."Social trust,included two first-order indicators,"interpersonal trust" and "system trust".On the basis of data collected,the author established a number of general linear regression model,and analyzed the relationship between social capital and rural residents' mental health.It is found that the factors affect the mental health situation of rural residents include network size,economic status,and participate in collective activities.Impact factors of rural residents the mental health status of the network participation are all positive,that is to say,the size of the network,the economic status of the network and whether participate in the collective activity play a significant role in promoting mental health situation of rural residents.The factors of reciprocity norms which affect the rural residents' mental health situation are:awareness to help relatives,awareness to help neighbours and economic support.The impact of these variables on the mental health situation of rural residents is positive,which indicates that the reciprocity norm has a positive effect on the mental health situation of the rural residents.The factors of social trust influencing the mental health situation of rural residents are social system trust.Social system trust has a significant impact on the mental health situation of the rural residents.The dimensions of social capital on the mental health of the variables is sorted according to the influence of the size:network scale,economic support,psychological support,willingness to help neighbor,network economy status,kinship trust,collective participation,geo trust.Control variables on the mental health situation of rural residents sorted according to the size of the effect for migrant workers,elementary school and below,household spending log,farmers,local workers who.Due to the more professional virtual variables,the impact of the size is also different.Path analysis of rural residents' mental health shows that:(1)The path social capital influence mental health situation is diverse.Social capital and household spending log showed a significant correlation.These two factors were the mental health of rural residents has significant influence;social capital and economic factors are mutual intermediary variables of rural residents of the mental health impact.(2)social capital factors,the variables of mental health have the mechanism of the effect of differences and economic factors on mental health of rural residents in addition to economic factors influence,may also exist two routes of economic support and the size of the network;(3)social capital on mental health of rural residents,and economic support in which play an important role.There is a significant impact economic support not only for rural residents to mental health,but also may as other variables affecting mental health of rural residents leading variables at the same time,and may be used as the intermediary variable of other variables that affect the health of rural residents.Based on the analysis in this article,the researcher emphasizes on the importance of localization meaning in the study of social capital and social health situation.Based on the conclusions of this study,the author also proposes several proposals to improve mental health situation of rural residents:(1)reduce the income gap in rural areas,and develop collective economy in less developed areas.Reducing the income gap in rural areas and developing rural collective economy are aming to reduce the income gap of rural residents,and to reduce the social network heterogeneity of rural residents,improve the economic status of rural residents in the social network;(2)strengthen the construction of rural culture,and improve the community vitality in rural areas.Community participation and fonnal contacts has a positive role in the mental health situation of rural residents,therefore,to promote continuously community participation of rural residents,the rural residents should be attracted in publlic affairs discussion and collective cultural activities;(3)strengthen the participation of rural social organizations,and build a community-level public platform.To make rural residents participate in public affairs.
