Classical poetry is an important part of traditional culture, it is also the brilliant literary treasure which has been baptized by history. It is not only a representative of the broad and profound Chinese culture, is the representation of the ancients' life footprints or emotional cognition, is also the concentrated reflection of national spirit and literati' s feelings. Classical poetry has certain literary functions as well as moral education and aesthetic education.Emotional appreciation is the vital way and essential link of poetry connoisseurship.Since the independent examination carried out in Jiangsu province 2004, poetry connoisseurship preserved as a kind of traditional questions to this day. Among them, the emotional appreciation of classical poetry appeared almost every year. In the practical teaching, due to the existence of the college entrance examination, there are some problems existed in the teaching of emotional appreciation of classical poetry inevitably.Whether teachers or students, when it comes to college entrance exams, they always feel great pressure first. However, at the same time, almost all of the people invariably support that the teaching should not lose its essence and vitality under the pressure of the college entrance exam. So, how to establish the correct concept of teaching and examinations? What should classical poetry appreciation of the teaching do under the background of the college entrance exam? They became the problem that every high school Chinese teacher must face and reflect.Based on the classical poetry stylistic feature, combined with the requirements of curriculum standard and the concept of famous scholar, this paper discusses the intention and purpose of the emotional appreciation of classical poetry first. In this part, it is not only the thought based on the cultural perspective and the characteristic of the time, but also the rational view of the students' physical and mental development. At the same time,as an important part of poetry appreciation, emotional appreciation of classical poetry can enrich the teaching system of classical poetry. According to the intention and purpose of the emotional appreciation of classical poetry, combined with the requirements of test description, this paper explores the requirements of classical poetry about the ability and quality of the students. The ability and quality would be the goal that students supposed to achieve through appreciation teaching of classical poetry, also the essence and core contents of the tests including the college entrance examinations.Second,in order to help students face the college entrance examination and don't afraid of it any more, first-line Chinese teachers in high school should not only know the ability and attainment students should achieve, but also the depth of emotional appreciation of classical poetry by analyzing test centers. In addition, first-line Chinese teachers in high school can ponder the lack and inadequate of transmission of knowledge or training of capacity in teaching. Therefore, this paper summarizes and analyzes the questions of emotional appreciation of classical poetry appeared in Jiangsu college entrance examination since 2004, and try to explore the thinking of problem solving and the formats of answering. What's more, designing questionnaires in order to investigate students' attitudes to the questions of classical poetry emotional appreciation and daily teaching.Through the analysis of relevant questionnaires and typical cases, this paper holds the view that the impact of college entrance examination on the teaching of emotional appreciation of classical poetry is two-sided, both positive and negative. On the one hand,the college entrance examination can give some feedback to the teaching, and make the teaching take a relatively standardized and specialized road. Such as: connoisseurship moves from a little bit to the system, emotional analysis moves from sensibility to rationality, the foothold of emotional appreciation from history to today. On the other hand,the college entrance examination does bring a lot of resistance to the teaching of emotional appreciation of classical poetry. For teachers, it is easy to make them hunt for quick success. For students, it is easy to cause students to stiff thinking mode or reducing of interest and self-exploration ability, etc. At the same time, for the cognition of students, classical poetry learning, it may bring some wrong directions. In addition, it can lead to the unscientific method of teaching evaluation and other negative effects.Finally, based on the above research results, especially the negative effects of college entrance examination on the teaching of emotional appreciation of classical poetry, this paper tries to put forward some countermeasures of teaching and assumptions of reform. For example, teachers change their minds and deepen theoretical learning;encourage the promotion of teaching reform; effectively use the resources of Internet and so on. It hopes that the teaching of emotional appreciation of classical poetry would use the positive influence brought by the college entrance examination actively, eliminate negative influence and create a vibrant classroom with the characteristics of the time. It also hopes that the teaching of emotional appreciation of classical poetry can walk up a unique and attractive development road in the end.
