The golden age for a child stepping into maturity of thinking is his high school stage;therefore,to cultivate students' creative thinking is not only the need of the development of times as well as the requirement of the education and teaching reform,but also the need of students' growth.The heart of teaching writing,as an individual spiritual creative activity,is embodied in cultivating students' creative thinking.Writing is a process of describing one's knowledge and experience of life as well as expressing one's imagination and thinking of life so as to arouse readers' resonation,inspiring them to feel life and think about life.The essence of writing instruction is to arouse students'understanding of the nature of life,to broaden their minds and to inspire their intelligence so that they can use their own words to express their inner thoughts and interact with readers.It is the teacher who should play a positive role in improving students' creativity during his/her teaching.It is necessary for teachers to follow the rules of education and teaching and initiate their teaching activities.Given current writing instruction in senior high school,many teachers just pay attention to the results of writing,caring about students' scores.Thus,teaching writing is becoming pure "technical training",which narrow down students' ideas and frozen their thinking.Unfortunately,teaching writing is in a state of disorder and casualty,which is not in accordance with the nature of the subject the spirit of curriculum reform.In this paper,on the basis of former researches,the author,using her own class as targets,deeply analyzed the problems that it is lack of creative thinking in teaching writing in high school and the reasons behind it.Then the author put forward the possible solutions to the research questions and suggestions on optimizing students' creative thinking.The thesis was divided into five parts.The first part is introduction.In this part,the author determined the methods and process of the current research on the basis of illustrating the significance of the research and the literature review on the related papers on creative thinking home and abroad.During the second part,the author put forward the problem of how to cultivate high school students' creative thinking in teaching writing.This part is aimed to illustrate the necessity of training high school students' creative thinking quality.It began with the present situation of high school students whose writings are lack of creative thinking.And then it also mentioned that the great attention was paid to creative thinking in composition on College Entrance Examination.Finally it moved to the curriculum reform which stressed the requirement of cultivating students' creative thinking.The third part focused on the relationship between the high school students' thinking and their creative thinking.The author analyzed to the teaching methods of creative thinking and the possibility of high school students creative thinking training by starting from the characteristics of creative thinking.The fourth part is the main body of the research on the method of teaching writing based on cultivating high school students' creative thinking.From the perspectives of teaching practice,the author put forward the solution to the problem and the strategies by fully arranging and analyzing some cases of students' writings.The fifth part is conclusion and prospect.This part is to summarize the conclusion of the whole research and point out the drawbacks of the research as well as the future plan and arrangement for the further study.
