With the deep reformation of new curriculum,schools and teachers will inevidably encounter a series of problems and challenges,English teaching and researching activities are important ways to improve quality of teaching and teacher's professional development,which can help teachers to solve the problems of educational teaching practice.At present,is the teaching and researching activities valid in junior middle school of Shihezi? What are the problems? How to improve the effectiveness of teaching and researching activities? This research analyzed the validity of English teaching and researching activities from seven aspects by the recovery of the questionnaire data,observations and interviews.The seven dimensions are: the organizations of English teaching and researching activities,the theme,the teachers 'participation,self-reflection,peer support,the professional guidance of the experts and the growth of the teachers in the teaching research.The author presented the main problems from teachers,researchers and research activities.For teacher,lack of self-discipline,teachers' reflection is not deep enough,lack of cooperation.For research staff,low management,lack of interaction with students.For activities,single form,lack of practice.The author analyzed the factors of affecting validity of English teaching and research activities in junior high school: teachers' quality,job burnout,ability of instructors,the diversity in contents,forms and targets.At last,the author gave the suggestions to improve the validity of English teaching and researching activities.That is to establish reasonable system of teaching and researching activities and reform learning culture;strengthen the consciousness of the school-based teaching and researching;improve teachers' reflection ability;improve the core literacy of research staff;change the pattern of teaching and researching activities.
