A Research On The Student Wastage In Secondary Vocational Schools From The View Of Enrollment And Employment

The secondary vocational education is an important part of the Chinese education.China has put great effort on developing the secondary vocational education.The enrollment scale of the secondary vocational schools has enlarged,and the number of students has increased greatly.But the high wastage rate of students of these schools becomes their critical problem,which has directly influenced their existence and the secondary vocational education's development.How the problem has produced and has got solved positively is an important issue for each secondary vocational school.Through a study of the students of Yunnan Tourism College and from the point of enrollment and employment,this paper states the wastage of students and its influence,causes and prevention measures to reduce the wastage rate and provides a reference for other schools.This paper consists of five chapters: the first chapter is an introduction,including the research significance,the domestic and overseas research situation and the definition of the core concepts,as well as the content frame and the research idea and methods;the second is a statement of the general situation of the sample college and its wastage of students;the third is a deep investigation of the student wastage and an analysis on the causes of the wastage from two aspects of enrollment and employment;the fourth is the measures to reduce the wastage;the fifth is the conclusion and introspection.The author has learnt the related professional theories combining the working experience in the secondary school and tried to make contributions to the development of the secondary education.
