The Difficult Problem Of Secondary Vocational School Enrollment And Countermeasures

Secondary vocational education offers different levels of vocational training for most of the middle and high school, which supplies large number of social and business professionals for the society and accelerate the economic development the country. Currently,the situation of China's secondary vocational education began to decline, it appears the difficulty for the enrollment of secondary vocational schools. In particular, this phenomenon goes ill for the secondary vocational education development in Dalian area and it is also a shock for the social development. What exactly causes this situation?Base on this investigation, we analysis the phenomenon of recruitment difficulty for secondary vocational schools in Dalian. Through questionnaires, interviews, literature study method, we find there are six factors:a negative attitude towards learning of students, backward education concept, no optimism of employment prospects Imperfect of courses setting and content non-standard of school education and teaching management, limited teaching and hardware resources, and defective vocational technical level examination system. We find the appropriate solution for the problems: Strengthen the administrative departments of education in secondary vocational schools and enhance the publicity; change the wrong view of talent of students, parents and society; create "educational orders";which students could get employment before graduation; reform specialty and teaching content; create a new system of curriculum and teaching materials; strengthen all aspects of school management; standardize the order of education and teaching; increase investment for all levels of departments in secondary vocational schools; improve the hardware facilities and timely training for teachers' vocational skills, create "two-Teachers";which establish personnel assessment system and improve the professional qualification certification system; Construction of secondary vocational education Vocational Education Development Group is the inevitable trend of the development of secondary vocational education. Only bigger, can be stronger.
