The development of modern information technology has given rise to a series of “micro” things such as Microblog,Wechat,micro film,micro course,etc.As a new teaching method,micro course emerged in response to the “micro times” of the world.With high efficiency,micro course is influencing traditional classroom teaching in middle school.On one hand,micro course has followed the reform and development of education,and has met the students' requirement of individualized learning;on the other hand,the combination of micro course with traditional classroom teaching of history can supply the deficiency of traditional teaching.Thus micro course has important significance on enhancing the teaching efficiency of history.Through the case analysis of history micro course video of “Moocs of East China Normal University”,the author has summarized the overall status of history micro course as follows: The contents of micro course concentrate closely on the teaching objective and have covered the key and difficult points;The teaching method of micro course is under deep influence of traditional classroom teaching,which is instructive model;In our country,the participation degree of micro course is comparatively high in first-tier cities such as Jinan,Jiaozhou,Chongqing,Hefei,etc.;Although micro course has abundant resources,it has received low attention and achieved low utility rate.Compared with traditional history classroom teaching,micro course has distinctive advantage.Micro course is time-saving and suitable for individualized learning.The sharing function of network platform can provide students with the convenience to compare and analyze the resources of micro course so as to realize the optimization of educational resources.However,since micro course is still in the exploratory stage,various problems exist in its development.For example,in terms of content relevance,systematic production,supervision on application,diversity,etc.,history micro course has plenty room to improve.In addition,the application of micro course in history teaching needs the joint efforts of students and other staff except for the teachers.
