Chinese traditional culture,with a history of 5000 year,is broad and profound.It connects with the development of material and spiritual civilization,and is the crystallization of the working people's hard work and wisdom.With the development of society and the improvement of education,Chinese traditional culture represents the national characteristics of our country and symbolizes the country's powerful culture soft power.Each of us has the responsibility to inherit and carry forward Chinese traditional culture.Many aspects of Chinese traditional culture contain abundant biological knowledge,such as in literature,medical books,farming culture,folk proverbs,etc.If we combine them with teaching content,it will raise student's interest in learning and broaden their horizons,which will help them to understand.At the same time,it will improve the traditional culture education so it can realize the teaching objectives of both learning knowledge and enhancing cultural literacy.This paper consists of six part,making a preliminary study on the combination of biology teaching and Chinese traditional culture in middle school.In the paper,235 students and 40 teachers from senior high school of Zibo were investigated and I got a very meaningful first-hand material.The first part explains the research background and significance.The purpose and significance of this study is to understand the current status of Chinese traditional culture used in biology teaching,hoping to provide some guidance in theory and practice.Then introducing the research ideas and methods,I mainly used literature research,questionnaire survey and interview survey.The second part states the significance of using Chinese traditional culture in biology teaching.The combination of them can stimulate students' interest in learning and carry out aesthetic and humanistic education of students.It can also enrich the curriculum resources.The third part is the current situation of the combination and its causal analysis.The results show that students like Chinese traditional culture but they lack the understandingof it.Students welcome the idea of combination.However,teachers seldom used the traditional culture in teaching.For teachers,they love Chinese traditional culture and have a positive attitude towards the combination.But due to the lack of student's comprehension and resources and the time,the actual application is a little of effect.The fourth part is the analysis of the biological resources in Chinese traditional culture.I studied the resources contained in the literature knowledge,the ancient philosophy,the traditional dietetic culture,the ancient Chinese medicine knowledge and the ancient agricultural knowledge to provided the useful resources.The fifth part show some ways and suggestions on the combination of biology teaching and Chinese traditional culture.The ways that included using the class effectively,using teaching evaluation flexibly and activity class.The suggestions are putting some traditional Chinese culture into the textbook when writing courses,making teachers get better understanding of traditional culture and using excellent traditional teaching theory in class.Use the resources properly to reach the best effect.And never put the plow before the oxen.The sixth part is a conclusion to summarized the paper,pointed out the shortcomings and what we need to do in the future.
