This study firstly used the method of questionnaire survey,and set all the high school biology teachers in Ganzhou city Jiangxi Province and part of the grade 2 students in high school as the object of study,and carried out the investigations of selection and application situations of teaching material in high school biology teaching.According to the results of the survey,summarize some problems exist in the selection and application of teaching material in high school biology teaching.The result showed that: most of students' like teaching material applied in the teaching by teacher.They think the application of teaching material can help them understand the knowledge deeply and stimulate their learning interest at the same time.In terms of the selection of teaching material,teachers lack organic integration in methods of teaching material collection,and only 29.17% of the teachers will often integrate diversity of method to collect teaching material.The selection of teaching material break away from textbook and student,only 43.75% of the teachers,who will according to the teaching goal to select material,and only 25% of the teachers,who will according the connection of knowledge and the background of students' experience to select material.Besides,the problems of lower time-effect,and lack of situated material are still exist in the selection of teaching material.In terms of the application of teaching material,material using formalized,which lack of in-depth analysis;performances are not lively,which break away from really life;too much emphasis on presupposition causes ignoration of the generation;lack of visual aids,only 27.08% of the teachers will usually make use of visual aids to aid teaching;ignored the dominant position of student,and improper material guidance,there is 81.25% of teachers without enough guidance when use teaching material as a guidance to analyzing problems;the teaching material is not presented in time and properly.This paper based on the existing problems of selection and application of teaching material in high school biology teaching,and combining with biological characteristics of the course,through the literature research method,teaching practice method,analysis of inductive method,then preliminarily put forward selection and application principles and strategies of the high school biology teaching material,and with a concrete case to illustrate.The principle of the material selection includes the principle of service,the principle of life,the principle of interest.The principle of the material application includes the principle of profundity,the principle of flexibility,and the principle of subjectivity.The strategy of the material selection includes: regress into textbooks and select material carefully;analyze the situation of students' learning and based on life;broaden our vision,gather material extensively;keep pace with the times,update material.Strategy of application: drive for results,dig the material;grasp the opportunity,present reasonably;teacher-student interaction,effective guidance;make good use of teaching aids,deepen memory.The results,principles and strategies presented in this study,which have some reference value in teaching material selection and application to high school biology teachers.
