A Study On The Influence Of College Entrance Examination Reform In 2014 On College Recruitment And Talent Cultivation Mode

In September 2014,The State Council issued The Guidance of Further Implementing College Entrance Examination Test System Reform,which scheduled to conduct experiments in Shanghai and Zhejiang Province to provide some evidence for boosting the system reform in 2017,hoping to establish a modern testing system with Chinese characteristics.Unlike previous reforms,this round of reform lays emphasis on admissions plan,examination form and contents,admission mechanism and regulatory mechanism,which not only could have a profound impact on basic education,but also on college enrollment mechanisms,cultivating ideas,cultivating mode.However,the research on college entrance examination reform is far from enough,even there is little research,which only concentrates on "the reform on independent enrollment in colleges",but the impact of college entrance examination reform on talents cultivation model and how to adapt to the reform for colleges and other issues are almost not involved and touched.In this context,the problems of what impact the reform has on university admissions and talents cultivating and how the University should respond are particularly urgent and important.Based on the hypothesis that the reform of college entrance examination in 2014 will have a huge impact on college admissions and talents cultivating mode and the experimental colleges in experimental provinces make prompt responses,providing precious experience for a nation-wide reform in 2017.This research follows the“theory--practice--theory” pattern.Firstly,chapter one carefully interprets the innovation of the reform of college entrance examination in 2014 and some issues closely related to the reform,answering whether the reform of the college entrance examination in 2014 has an impact on colleges or not,how to have an impact,and what influences these changes may have on college admissions and talents cultivating.Secondly,chapter two devotes itself to the practical effects of the reform of college entrance examination in 2014 from the practical survey in experimental colleges in experimental provinces,namely ZhejiangProvince and Shanghai.This chapter deals with the practical effects of the reform on admission and talents cultivating,demonstrating the practical situation.In addition,based on empirical survey in experimental colleges in experimental provinces,it makes a summary of the successful experience and shortcomings,showing how the experimental colleges respond to it.Lastly,it tries to further explore the responding strategies based on the accumulated experience,hoping to summarize the responding means and strategies.From what has been discussed above,the conclusions can be drawn: On the one hand,the reform of college entrance examination in 2014 indeed has practical influence on the experimental universities in experimental provinces and they also have taken some measures to cope with that mainly in recruitment and cultivation,providing useful and meaningful experience for other universities.On the other hand,facing to the reform,the experimental universities can't cope with it perfectly and satisfactorily,for example,they do not fully recognize the important influence of the reform on the universities,fail to take responsive and radical steps to cope with that.Therefore,the teaching administrative institutions in universities should pay emphasis on that mentally and all departments should jointly cooperate and coordinate to take actions in talents recruitment and cultivation modification.Hopefully,at the time of popularizing the reform of college entrance examination on a national scale,the universities will seize the opportunities,embrace the challenges,facilitate the reform in higher education and exert efforts to make Chinese higher education more powerful and successful.
