Role practice of the leader of sports teaching and research group is not only related to the work implementation of the teaching and research group,but also the promotion of the physical education curriculum reform and the improvement of the school physical education level.This study summarizes the shortcomings of previous studies,analyzes the deviation between role expectation and role practice and the influence factors of role practice from four angles,basic situations,teaching situation,work organization ability and professional development of the leaders of sports teaching and research group in elementary schools.Through comparing the practice of different types of schools,taking its essence and discarding the dross,the study also puts forward the improvement countermeasures to narrow the gap between role expectation and role practice of the leader of sports teaching and research group.This paper studies the role expectation and role practice of the leaders of sports teaching and research group in elementary schools through document summary,interviewing,questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics.The result shows that the school leadership and the physical education teachers are not consistent with the role expectation and role practice of the leaders of sports teaching and research group.Leadership group views show that,there are 4 items that the leader's role practice is higher than role expectation,work experience(P<0.01),number of papers(P <0.05),umpiring ability(P <0.05),education background(P <0.01).Role practice is significantly lower than the role expectations in 8 items,full time or part-time job situation,production way,professional titles,the ability to declare projects,teaching innovation ability,teaching ability,working attitude,striving for further education opportunities for the group members and further education consciousness.Teacher group views show that there are 5 items that sports teaching and research leader's role practice is higher than role expectation,work experience(P <0.01),professional titles(P <0.05),umpiring ability(P <0.05),teacher work coordination(P <0.01),education background(P <0.01).The role practice are lower than role expectation in the remaining 13 items.According to the research,there is a certain disparity between the role expectation and role practice of the leaders of physical education teaching and research group in Shenyang primary schools.Here are the reasons for the disparity,the role recognition bias of the leaders,the lack of performance evaluation system and training and weak enforcement of power.After analyzing the influence factors to the role practice of the leaders of sports teaching and research groups from 4aspects,basic conditions,teaching,work organization ability and professional growth and comparing leaders' current work status of different schools,many things in provincial key primary schools are worth learning,including sports teaching and research leader's production way,working attitude,incumbency time,umpiring ability,the organization of teaching and research activities,further education experience.To narrow the disparity between the role expectation and role practice of the sports teaching and research leaders in primary schools,we should start from correcting the role recognition,standardizing the management system,increasing training efforts and granting the appropriate power.It is suggested that schools should strengthen the competence of the sports teaching and research leader,regulate the school sports system,enhance the management of physical education,improve the management system of sports teaching and research leader and conduct normative training to the leaders of sports teaching and research group.
