With the developing of modern science and technology and global competition in the 20 th century,there have been callings of advanced products and shorter production cycle in our country.Faced with the economic transition of China and industrial restructuring,excellent skills and all-round abilities are demanded.Therefore,how to train students to meet those standards is what we need in secondary vocational education.Modern apprenticeship focuses on training talents who have strong techniques instead of teaching theoretical knowledge.Only through working and learning alternation as well as school-enterprise cooperation can apprentices promote their comprehensive capabilities.This thesis focuses on the present situation of modern apprenticeship in a vocational education center in F City.The survey is carried out in the following majors: costume designing,electronics and numerical control specialty.Based on the materials concerning modern apprenticeship in secondary vocational education at home and abroad as well as successful cases of training patterns abroad,this thesis tries to analyze the present situation of the three majors in F City.By applying systematic theory and equilibrium theory,this thesis demonstrates that modern apprenticeship in secondary vocational education is a complete system which consists of the government,industrial association,schools,enterprises and students.They interact on each other as well as restrict each other.This thesis highlights the role that industrial association plays,which checks and balances schools and industrial association under the premise of national policies and government security.This thesis identifies the major problems that exist in the cooperation between the vocational education center and the government of F City by applying Literature research methodology,questionnaire survey and focus group interview.The problems are listed as follows: lacks of government policy and protection mechanism as well as financial expenditure;inadequate level deepening of cooperation between schools and enterprises;lack of double-qualified teachers;lack of up-to-date teaching patterns and curriculum systems;lack of teaching quality supervision and evaluation mechanism;immature protection mechanism of responsibility,rights and interests.To solve these problems,this thesis tries to apply inductive deductive method to practice and seek practical methods with three steps: optimize internal circulation;highlight middle circulation;perfect internal circulation.In this way,a balanced system of schools and enterprises and a win-win strategy can be achieved,which promotes the development of modern apprenticeship in the vocational education center.
