Criteria for Chinese Course in High School asked the students to express their views through argumentative writing,master the direction of argumentative writing,use various writing skills and continuously improve their own writing capacity.Thus we can draw the conclusion that writing occupies a very important position in the language learning in high school.As a consequence,the teaching of argumentative writing also occupies a significant place in the high school teaching.However,No.1 High School of Dalad Banner Erdos,an ordinary county middle school,there are many problems in the teaching of argumentative writing: the teachers have no rules to follow so it is difficult to teach and some teachers even feel confused in the teaching;Students feel that while writing argumentative articles they have nothing to say,their minds are limited and their thoughts are false,some even feel at a loss.Therefore,the problems that are existing on the teaching of argumentative writing in No.1 High School of Dalad Banner Erdos make us realize that it is urgent to improve the teaching level of argumentative writing.This essay is based on General Senior High School Curriculum Standards and The University Entrance Exam Composition Scoring Criteria.According to the problems that are existing on the teaching of argumentative writing in No.1 High School of Dalad Banner Erdos,the essay aims at analyze its causes and put forward some suggestions on how to teach and learn accordingly so that the teaching of argumentative writing is more evidence-based and predictable.The whole text can be divided into five parts:The first part is to state the significance of the selected topic,the research review and research methods.The second part is to explore the value orientation of compositions in College Entrance Examinations by combining with General Senior High School Curriculum Standards and The University Entrance Exam Composition Scoring Criteria so that it can provide the basis for the teaching of argumentative writing.The third part is to analyze the problems that are existing on the teaching of argumentative writing in No.1 High School of Dalad Banner Erdos,which can be seen in the following aspects: while writing the students' attitude is negative and their minds are limited and the contents of the writing are too simple.Besides,the teachers always ignore the guide of the teaching materials,the teaching form and evaluation form are too single in the teaching of argumentative writing.The fourth part is to explore the teaching strategies which can be used in argumentative writing in No.1 High School of Dalad Banner Erdos : by stimulating interest in writing,Strengthen the training of thinking,Return to textbooks,etc,to improve the students' writing level through innovativing teaching ideas,enriching teaching forms and change the ways of evaluation to improve teachers' teaching level in developing argumentative essays.The fifth part is to summarize the content and refine it.
