Cooperative learning is a learning means,by which students achieve the learning goals through working together.It features co-working and interaction,which can help students to communicate,thus improving the effectiveness of teaching and learning.Cooperative learning mode has been gradually applied to English classroom teaching,but seldom to paper commenting class.English paper commenting class plays a very important part in English teaching and learning in senior high school.Its effectiveness has a direct impact on students‘ learning and results of exams.However,English paper commenting class is always ignored by some English teachers.By conducting ?Questionnaire of English Paper Commenting(for students)?and ?Questionnaire of English Paper Commenting(for teachers)?,the author has found that the current situation in English paper commenting class.This study of English class cooperative learning of senior high school is based on relevant researches abroad and at home,whose theoretical basis includes: Cooperative Learning Theory,Feedback Theory,Theory of Cognitive Attribution,Learning Transfer Theory,The Theory of the Zone of Proximal Development,and Constructivism Learning Theory.Based on the research of some relevant documents and theories,the author puts forward cooperative learning mode in English paper commenting class,and put forth three hypotheses:(1)Cooperative learning can improve students academic achievements;(2)Cooperative learning will arouse students‘ learning interest in English and their subjectivity;(3)Cooperative learning can raise students‘ cooperative awareness and their English learning competence.The experimental study was carried out in Class1 and Class2,Senior2(totally 105 students)in Anyuan Senior High School for two semesters,proving that the teaching mode is effective to some extent as follows: students‘ academic achievements have been improved a lot than before;students‘ learning interest in English and cooperative awareness have been aroused;students have developed their l English learning competence to a degree;English paper commenting class has become more lively and effective.
