"Western Plan" Teaching Research Volunteer College Students Employment Problem

Since the implementing of "Western Plan" in 2003,it has received great effects which having embraced 240 thousand university students to take part in the economic constructio n of 22 provinces in the Mid-west Region of China.After the fishing of voluntary services,university students are encouraged to take employment in the Western China.Meanwhile,self-employment and "floating employment" are also encouraged.Volunteer teaching program in the West has made great contributions to the prosperity of western education and western region since its performing for decades.However,most of the volunteers will face the employment issue when the volunteer teaching is finished.Alth ough there are some supported and preferential policy included in the Plan,volunteers still f ace employment problems due to many other factors.Full employment is a key factor for th e "export" of volunteer services.This thesis aims to analyse the employment status of these volunteers and find the causes so as to put forward related countermeasures.Based on Educational Fair Theory,Human Capital Theory and Career Planning Theory,th is thesis proposes five effectual ways for the volunteer university students' employment.In clude improving the social concern for a good employment environment.Sufficient publicity to improving the social concern for a good employment environment.analyzing the employment policy of the Plan and the employment issue of the volunteers,that is,incre asing national investment for a long-term effect mechanism of employment;strengthening t he guidance to the volunteer services;adjusting the personal attitudes for the self-ability co nstruction.
