Research On The Impact Of Labor Productivity Change On Employment In Western China

Achieving higher-quality economic development and better and higher-quality employment is an important issue facing China in the context of the current comprehensive deepening of reforms and economic development from high-speed growth to high-quality growth.Since the reform and opening up,China’s economic development has shown an uneven development in the eastern,central,and western regions.The employment situation in the western region,where economic development is relatively lagging,is very grim.For many years,the relevant departments of the central and local governments have been actively committed to solving the economic development and employment problems in the western region.Although some results have been achieved,with the continuous deepening of reforms,the coordination of the economic development and employment issues in the western region has been properly resolved The task remains daunting.Therefore,in-depth research on the development of labor productivity and employment issues in the western region is very important.Therefore,this article makes an in-depth analysis of labor productivity and employment in the western region from the following seven parts.First of all,the first part briefly describes the research background and significance of the topic selected in this article,the relevant theoretical basis,concept definition,literature review,and research ideas.The second part analyzes the mechanism of labor productivity changes affecting employment and the different employment effects of labor productivity.The third part compares the development and changes of labor productivity and relative labor productivity of the whole and the three industries in the western region,and compares the changes in the employment development of the entire and three industries in the western region.The fourth part makes a specific calculation and analysis of the linear and nonlinear effects of labor productivity on employment in the western region,and obtains a negative linear effect of labor productivity on employment,as well as a nonlinearity that will change from negative to positive effect.Through the threshold model,the employment effects of labor productivity in the three industries in the western region are further analyzed.It is found that the increase in labor productivity can transform the negative employment effect of capital deepening into a positive effect,but at the same time it will weaken the employment effect of wage levels.In the long-term development,the coordinated development of labor productivity and employment can be achieved.The fifth part analyzes the laborproductivity and employment structure of various industries in the western region,and analyzes the static and dynamic effects of labor productivity changes on the employment structure.The three industries are beginning to show a positive effect,which further illustrates that labor productivity and employment are expected to achieve coordinated development.The sixth part summarizes the previous article and analyzes the constraints such as the uncoordinated existing in the coordinated development of labor productivity and employment in the western region.The seventh part focuses on the realization of the coordinated development of labor productivity and employment in the western region.It proposes to accelerate the improvement of the technical level of the western region,promote the improvement of the overall labor productivity in the western region,accelerate the overall economic development of the western region,and promote the steady growth of employment;further promote the industrial structure upgrade To promote the optimization of the employment structure;fully develop and utilize resource endowment advantages and other countermeasures and suggestions.
