One of the key reasons for the common poor effect of classroom teaching in our universities is that teaching style has long occupied an overwhelming advantage.In order to overcome the drawbacks of lecture teaching,autonomous learning has been sought after,however,there are obvious deficiencies in the complete autonomous learning model.Accompanied by the innovation of modern educational technology,the practical application of Blended Learning and the innovation of research results have created a development atmosphere for Blended Learning.It's widespread concerned that Blended Learning has the value of effective teaching for university with integrating the advantages of lecture teaching and autonomous learning.Based on the theory and previous studies of Blended Learning,this study has adopted field research,classroom observation,interviews and other research methods following the overall path of action research.As a case study of Curriculum Theory in Soochow University,it has analyzed the practical effect of Blended Learning application to the undergraduate instruction systematically to identify the problems,learning from foreign experience in Blended Learning,so as to make suggestions and countermeasures for Blended Learning application to the undergraduate instruction.Through the investigation and analysis of the survey data,this study draws the following conclusions :First,the level of undergraduate students' Blended Learning needs to be improved.The students in Blended Learning have the following problems.Learning motivation is weak.Learning strategies are not suitable.Autonomous learning and cooperative learning ability are insufficient.Inertial learning habits are difficult to change.Second,the development of teaching content,teaching ability to face serious challenges and lack of teaching driving force is that teachers will encounter powerless difficulties in Blended Learning.Third,it might be faced that reforming assessments styles of teaching,constructing convenient technology platform and lack of entity or network teaching resources are difficult problems in application of Blended Learning.Fourthly,the effect of Blended Learning application to the undergraduate instruction is influenced by students,teachers and learning environment.Fifth,the shortcomings of teachers,students and learning environment in the traditional teaching model of university needs to be improved.Sixth,foreign Blended Learning mode gives some enlightenment meaning.Seventh,it should be from the students,teachers,learning environment three aspects to improve the effect of Blended Learning application to the undergraduate instruction.At last,through the understanding and experience of foreign Blended Learning,for the existing problems of Blended Learning application to the undergraduate instruction Curriculum Theory,this paper summarizes the strategies and suggestions to improve the effectiveness of Blended Learning in three levels : student,teacher and learning environment.
