Group Work Intervention On The Problem Of Social Integration Of The Disabled Orphans

The protection and rescue of orphans and disabled children has always been an important part of the national civil affairs work.Social work is one of the core forces of relief work for orphans and disabled children.China's current form of relief for orphans and disabled children is mainly based on the adoption of welfare institutions and the proportion of family adoption and foster care is relatively small.Orphans and disabled children living in the social welfare institute can have access to basic diet,accommodation,medical and other living needs.But because of the management and conservation of social welfare institutes,orphans and disabled children own less participation for political,economic and cultural life and their process of socialization is lagging behind.Social welfare institutions as the main environment for the growth of orphans and disabled children it should help them form a sound personality and health of the psychological when it provides service of the care for orphans and disabled children at the same time.It should find a variety of ways to continuously enhance their social integration capacity so that they can live independently and return to society in the future.This paper analyzes the social integration status of orphans and disabled children in social welfare homes of L City by collecting and sorting out the information of social welfare homes and hospital orphans in L city.Combining with the characteristics of social integration problems of orphans and disabled children,the paper chooses the group work method for practical intervention.After the pre-team screening and group work plan,around paying roles,games and other methods,social worker use the support of members,sharing and interaction to help enhance the capacity of participating in social life of team members and improve their social integration capacity.In each of the activities of the group at the same time,social worker records the team members' psychological and behavioral changes in the group activities,concerns about the group members in the aspect of group growth and change and explores skills and methods about the group work involving the problem of enhancement of social integration capacity of the disabled orphans.Finally,through the assessment of process and result,social worker sums up the work of the group intervention and its problems,and reflects on the basis of social work.The research of this paper has positive significance for the social workers to improve the group work mode and to better intervene in the social integration of orphans and disabled children.
