With the acceleration of educational informatization,information technology whose key is multimedia and network technology has been extensively applied in education.Online learning is one of the most important parts of human's life-long learning.However,it is noted that learners' motivation is not strong and their participation level remains low.How to promote online courses learning participation?Thus,to promote students' effective learning in online learning environment has become a research hotspot at home and abroad.This thesis Investigates the present situation of online learners' learning and the factors influence online learners' learning participation by means of interview and observation.Based on the results of the investigation,the author preliminarily puts forward four management strategies to improve the learner's participation:meeting the learner's various needs,reinforcing interactions between teachers and learners,changing the method of teaching evaluation,diversifying assessments.Finally,the author analysis the practiced results by means of questionnaire,interview,observation to test the validity of these strategies.The result indicates that these four strategies are reasonable and effective.We hope the research could provide enlightenment and reference for the design and development of online course so as to improve learner's participation and performance.
