The traditional concept of teaching in China was mainly influenced by the Soviet Union and western's literary theories,which focus on texts and teachers,and pay attention to the teachers' teaching with students'acceptance.While the theory of Reception Aesthetics and the New Curriculum Reform broke this tradition.Reception Aesthetics emphasizes the functions of expected horizon,reader's center and calling structure.Reception Aesthetics deeply studies the process of readers' accepting the works,which makes us teach the reading of prose with a new perspective.It has far-reaching significance to reconstruct theories of the teaching of reading.By using literature,case analysis and other research methods,through the carding,analysis and reference from the Reception Aesthetics' some points of view,and on the basis of the New Curriculum Standards,this paper first briefly introduces the problems and causes of the current teaching of reading in the middle school.Secondly,it discusses the main ideas of Reception Aesthetics,and links it with the current middle school's teaching practice of reading,and expounds the Enlightenment of the Reception Aesthetics' theory to the teaching of contemporary prose's reading.Third,it conceives teaching strategies of contemporary prose's reading with the Reception Aesthetics' theory in middle school.Finally,some problems that need to be paid attention to in the practical application of the theory of Reception Aesthetics are summarized.
