Research On Training Mode For Industrial Design Talents With Innovation And Professional Practice Ability

It has been more than 30 years since Chinese universities began to train their own industrial design talents.Now it is developing steadily after years of exploration and practice.Although the proportion of industrial design talents is increasing every year,the training mode for professional industrial design talents is still not perfect.Problems such as unclear training objective,imperfect training system and unjust evaluation system exposed by some of the training units made the trained talents unfit for the enterprise needs.One of the most important challenges for training units is to complete the industrial design talents with innovation ability and professional practice ability,so they can get successful employments in the fierce market.It is also a problem needed to further discussion for the development and reformation of the training mode for design major talents in China.The main content of this thesis is to design a new talent training mode which can effectively improve the innovation ability and professional practice ability of industrial design major students.This paper studies out the specific ways to improve the innovation ability and professional practice ability of industrial design talents at last by researching into the literature,investigating and studying cases.The author made an initial construction of “The New Mode of Dual Tutor Cooperation Education” in the background of Xi’an Polytechnic University.He also established a practice curriculum system which can effectively improve the students’ innovation ability and comprehensive quality.Among them,the designment of “Designers’ EQ Class” filled a vacancy on the lack of EQ training in the traditional training mode for industrial design talents.To ensure the effectiveness of the new training mode,there is also a new management mode and evaluation system in the sixth chapter.This research is a reform and innovation for the industrial design engineering postgraduate students’ training mode.Except carrying out the “Pilot Project on Comprehensive Quality Reform of Postgraduates in Shananxi Province”,it also has positive significance for improving the quality of talents and development of industrial design major.
