The flourishing of the construction industry plays a leading role in the development ofthe engineering cost management industry. Project cost professionals' good overall quality isthe basis and the core of the sustained and rapid development in engineering cost industry.The establishment and perfection of the engineering cost training mode and training of theengineering cost professions who are adapted to the requirements of the nation and market isthe subject needed to be further researched.By reorienting the goal and norm of the training, this paper uses the reform of thecurriculum system and teaching mode as the breakthrough to optimize the traditional mode oftraining professions.1)Through the in-depth study on the related national research and extensive investigationinto the market demand, this paper works out the specific target of the engineering costprofessional training, i.e. develop innovation professions meeting with the demand of thenation and market;2)Based on the innovation education theory, higher education popularization theory,constructivism theory, education and practice education theory, this paper refines and formscurriculum and chooses some of them to build the engineering cost professional curriculumsystem by investigating graduates' major jobs and typical tasks and analyzing the knowledge,ability and quality required by typical tasks;3)In order to outstand the cultivating of the professional innovation skills, the special"innovation education " course module should be set up, competition, research practice, socialsports culture activities should be included in the practical teaching named "cultivatinginnovative talents in innovation activities" and a corresponding innovation practice credits arebeen added, and the engineering cost professional innovative talents education system isformed;4) The talent training model—"1+2+1, people oriented" is put forward;5)The engineering cost main professional subjects i.e. economics, management,construction technology, engineering valuation and cost management, law and creativity;6)The supporting measures including teaching conditions, innovation teaching mode,organization and management mode, training system operation rules, etc, are put forward tomake the new training system's normal operation.Aiming at engineering cost major, the "outstanding engineers" training plan can becarried out to further implement the training of top-notch innovative personnel; Joint training, exchange programs, oversea practice are uses to accelerate the process of traininginternationalized personnel?The credit system and course selection procedures should bestrengthen and improved; Further reform should be performed in exam system and studentevaluation system; How to incorporate innovation education into professional education isstill need to be explored and practiced.
