Thinking is the physiological function of human beings,and thinking ability is an ability to acquire knowledge.Critical thinking is an important form of thinking,but the use of critical thinking in current high school Chinese reading teaching also needs further study and exploration.This thesis studies the cultivation of students' critical thinking ability in the high school Chinese reading teaching,using literature analysis,case analysis,and comparative analysis to reinterpret the connotation of "reading" and "reading teaching",to explain their relationship and difference and to analyse the current situation of Chinese reading teaching and the existing prominent problems.Besides,from the angle of philosophy,psychology and logic,this thesis analyses the connotation of critical thinking,the relationship and difference between features and other forms of thinking,discusses the relationship between "high school Chinese reading teaching" and"cultivation of critical thinking",and put forward the theoretical basis of the cultivation of critical thinking.Finally,according to the characteristics of students' thinking development,this thesis analyses and discusses the importance and feasibility of cultivation of critical thinking in high school Chinese reading teaching.In order to improve the practical use,this thesis also profounds the methods and strategies of cultivation of critical thinking in high school Chinese reading teaching,besed on teachers'concept,teaching objective,teaching content,teaching method and teaching evaluation.
