The Problems And The Countermeasures Of International Students Education Management In Jiangxi Local Universities

Along with the enhancement of China's international status,more and more international students choose to study in China.Many colleges in Jiangxi pay high attention to the education management of International students in order to improve teaching quality,globalized degree and popularity.However,there exist some problems in the management method and system.This article aims at analyzing my experience in the international students management office in Yichun University.Exploring the problems of the management and discussing how to improve the management methods of the international students in Jiangxi local universities.First,discussing each existing problem of the education management and introducing the background to illustrate the importance in international students education.Then putting forward the research significance,including theoretic value and practical significance.On the basis of predecessors' study,the author analyzes the thesis review at home and abroad with practical work experience,thus helps to make clear the researching direction.Second,the author analyzes the course and current situation of the education management of the international students in Jiangxi local universities.Introducing the history of the education management of the international students in Jiangxi local universities,especially that in some key universities.Then mainly exploring the three models of education management----non-independent management,independent management and secondary school management and their advantages and disadvantages.Furthermore,briefly introducing all the systems and policies of the education management of the international students in Jiangxi local universities and the exposed problems.Third,taking Yichun University for example,mainly analyzing the existing problems and causes of the international students in Jiangxi local universities.The main causes lie in the three aspects---enrollment management,including regional factor,publicity,enrollment channels and planning;education management on faculty,curriculum,professional advantage and training program;cross-culture management,mainly on the cultural differences between China and other countries and among different races.Thus coming from the facts that the ideas about education managementfocus on the short-term benefit and cultural conflicts go on.At last,the author puts forward some countermeasure against the problems above in order to improve international students' education management.As for the enrollment,specific planning,enhancing publicity and broadening enrollment channels are suggested.As for the teaching management,optimizing teaching environment,adjusting course structure,improving training program,textbooks,teaching level and discipline advantage are put forward.With regard to cross-culture management,5 tips are as follows: strengthening service awareness,respecting other cultures,enhancing cultural interflows,creating culture-blending education management environment and forming dynamic and multiplying management system.
