International students education is an important part of higher education in our country,the core requirements of building the world famous universities,the strong support of the “Chinese dream”,it can provide international talents for “The Belt and Road Initiative”.China began to recruit the international students since 1950.After the development of half a century,China has become the third largest importer of international students among the world after the United States and Britain.Under the background of the rapid expansion of the international students,it has become an urgent task for Chinese universities to do well in the management of international students and ensure the quality of their training.The research has practical significance.The research focuses on the management of the international students in universities.By the methods of text research,comparative research,empirical research.The overall researching design is carried out according to the general idea of “finding problems,analyzing reasons and putting forward strategies”.The questionnaire survey conducted in the northeast parts of China,the central and western regions,the eastern regions and southern parts of China,totally included twelve universities,one hundred and twenty teachers,four hundred international students,meanwhile interviewed four international students staff,two international students,combined with the related theories and foreign countries' practice,summarized the problems and the reasons of the international students management in Chinese universities,putting forward some effective strategies to improve Chinese international students management.The research can be divided into four parts:The first part is introduction.It mainly introduces the background,problems,significance,objectives and methods of the research.It reviews the past and present related research both at home and abroad,analyzes the possible innovations and shortcomings.The second part is Chapter One,it defines the international students,the international students education,the management of the international students education,analyzes the process of the management of the international students education in China,discusses the related theoretical basis in the paper,lay the foundations for the research.The third part is Chapter Two,Chapter Three and Chapter Four,through empirical investigation and the summarization of information,the author found that there are enrollment management problems,teaching management problems,life management problems,scholarship and employment management problems,they were discussed in four dimensions in details,analyzes the reasons of the problems,mainly coming from the unclear strategic positioning of the international students management in our country,the low enrollment standards of the international students,the weakening functions of the international students education,the international students lack of preparation before studying abroad.The fourth part is Chapter Five and Chapter Six,discussing the mature experiences of the international students management in the United States,France,Australia and Britain,combined with the above analyses,putting forward the strategies from five aspects to improve our universities' international students management.First,the government should improve the educational policies to the international students continuously.Second,the educational department and the universities should deepen international exchanges and cooperation,accelerating the speed of higher education internationalization,promoting the international talents employment.Third,the universities should strengthen the learning atmosphere and the cultivation of international students.Fourth,universities should improve the service consciousness of the international students staff,standardized and humanized management of the international students in school.Fifth,educational department and the universities should further establish incentive mechanism to push the international students to learn well.The research analyses the present situation and problems of the international student management in Chinese universities from empirical research,the sample scope is very comprehensive,but because of the limitation of the data collection,the number of the sample is still insufficient to a certain extent,it weaken the scientific and reliability of proposing the strategies,author will try to collect much more data,in order to obtain more accurate conclusions in my future research.
